Syngenta cereals has a long history of breeding for Western Canada, dating back to 1974. This is an extensive breeding program designed to develop top-notch Canadian Western Red Spring and Canadian Prairie Spring varieties, which are suitable for the western prairie provinces. Since 1988, we have been involved in a development program with Viterra based out of Regina, Canada.

Syngenta has a large breeding effort based out of Morden Manitoba and conducts trials across numerous sites across western Canada.
