Platte Special Value Program

NuGrain is the newest flagship variety of the Platte program. NuGrain is higher tillering with improved sprout tolerance and stripe rust resistance when compared to Platte. NuGrain has high yield potential and excellent straw strength for Irrigation On dryland it has good drought tolerance and very high test weights. NuGrain has the quality and protein to get the top premiums in the Platte program.
The Platte program is currently paying a base premium of 30 cents per bushel with additional protein premiums up to 40 cents. Identity preserved contract is required.

Specific conditions may cause variations within those characteristics. These relative protection values are based on current pest and disease populations. These have been known to shift periodically and may cause changes in specific evaluations. Resistance to many other diseases and pests is sensitive to environmental conditions, plant development stages and the presence and intensity of other diseases which may result in specific evaluation inconsistencies. This chart is updated annually to reflect the most current trends.
